Our Mission
Investment Management
Our goal is not to just preserve capital for future generations and for philanthropic purposes, but to grow the capital base so that philanthropic pursuits can be pursued with even greater vigor over decades to come. The office will evaluate a wide variety of private structured equity and debt investments as well as maintaining traditional allocations to listed equity and fixed income investments in the United States. See the investment management section for more information on specific industries and geographies targeted, types and size of securities, etc.
Philanthropy Management
Our goal is to allocate philanthropic dollars, via the Feilmeier Family Foundation donor advised fund, to causes in the south-central Kansas area that primarily benefit disadvantaged youth, and students pursuing higher education objectives. See the philanthropy management section for more information.
Mentoring and Consulting
We create the most benefit for counterparties when our values, beliefs, and experiences can be internalized and applied by those seeking alternative perspective and points of view. Typically, in conjunction with a minority investment, we will seek to benefit our partner by helping to shape the direction and ultimate outcome of an investment. We do not require investment, but believe it typically best aligns incentives with counterparties.
"To give away money is an easy matter and in any man's power. But to decide to whom to give it, and how large and when, and for what purpose and how, is neither in every man's power nor an easy matter."
– Aristotle
